Spring 2012

Spring is finally here though this past winter was a walk in the park compared to the last several years. Our weather patterns keep us in suspense, with warm, cold, warm days coming and going. It's all part of the fun and challenge of gardening, isn't it?

After being open only by appointment for the past few months, we resume our regular open schedule starting Wednesday, May 2, on Wednesdays through Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., all other times by appointment. We invite garden clubs and other groups to tour our gardens and nursery. Call ahead just to be sure we'll be here.

While making plans for your garden this season, check our plants page for what's in stock: hardy plants for rock gardens and water gardens, as well as tender and hardy cacti and succulents, perennials for sun and shade, shrubs and trees, all propagated on site. As always, we'll make sure that our customers leave knowing how best to plant and care of the plants that they take home.

Valentine Gardens is a great place to find treasures for your own home and garden as well as gifts for family and friends. In addition to plants, we have a mix of antiques and collectibles: stoneware, art pottery, ceramics, metal ware, cast iron, wooden boxes and crates, tools, and garden ornaments. We also have clocks, pocket watches, cookie jars, ceramics, glassware and many other items.

We're located on Sandy Hill in western Chester County, halfway between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA, just east of Lancaster County. We accept VISA and Master Card.
